G2 A2 Class Homework 9/26

Today, we introduced W5 vocabulary, practiced this week's conversation pattern and reviwed the short o sound.  I've returned the W4 unit test papers to A2 students. Please see the attached answer key and sign the paper before this Thursday.  The 1st monthly exam scope is included in the blog post and a copy is glued in the communication book. Please have a read and sign it and let me know if you have any quesitons.

I'll give students some practices in the lesson and set homework this Friday to help them revise for the listening and speaking exams next week. They should start to review W1-W4 vocabulary as well as RS stories.

Monthly Exam Scope  Fall 2022

Dear parents,

Exams will be held on:

l  Listening Exam – Wednesday, October 5th

l  Oral Exam –   Friday, October 7th

l  Written Exam – Wednesday, October 12th

 The exams may cover the following: 

LISTENING EXAM:

·         Vocabulary from Communication Book (Weeks 1-4)

ORAL EXAM:   

Students will be evaluated on fluency, pronunciation, intonation and clarity. They will be asked to read a text that focuses on vocabulary with the long a and long e sounds as well as the suffixes covered so far. Then, they will answer 5 questions based on the text. They can look at the text to find answers, but they won’t see the questions.  

 WRITTEN EXAM: 

Vocabulary Comprehension:  Vocabulary words from weeks 1-4)

Story comprehension (understanding of the story):

·         Mama’s Birthday Present

·         Cinderella

Phonics:

Students may be asked to identify:

  • Vowel Digraphs ai, ay
  • Vowel Digraph ea
  • Singular and Plural Possessives
  • Adding Endings
