G1 A2 Class Homework 3/9

Today, we reviewed the concept of proper nouns and talked about the use of capital letters. They also made sentences about their classmates.

This week's unit test will focus on: 

  • . Use of vocabulary in context: 

Students will need to know what words to use in a sentence. Therefore they need to know the meaning of W4 and W5 vocabulary.  

An example: My grandma ______ (made/traded/raked) a birthday cake for me.   

  • Proper nouns: 

Students need to identify and circle a proper noun in a sentence. 

An example: My sister is studying in Taipei.  

  • Retelling a story 

Students need to match sentences with correct pictures and arrange the pictures in the correct order. 

  • Reading comprehension

Students answer multiple choice questions about the story.  

I'll help students revise for the test in the lesson on Thursday.  

Homework  

1. RS:   Read RS 48-65        pp.              

* Students should pay attention to and read out loud the words with long a and short a sounds in the story and make sure they can tell the difference. 

2. Write VW’s #     13-18  ,4x            

3. Make     3   sentences using a VW
