G1 A2 Class Homework 5/12

Today, we reviewed W14 vocabulary, read a decodable text and gave students time to complete their work and correct mistakes in the RWN.

We used a spelling relay to practice spelling and practiced choosing words from a word bank to complete sentences.

A message from Tr. Kate  

Students taking lessons from home can take the vocabulary quiz after they come back to school. If you have questions or concerns about the arrangement, please feel free to contact me. Students can hand in the worksheet homework next Monday if they need more time to study for the vocabulary quiz tomorrow. 

We're taking the quiz in period 1. Students studying from home can use the word puzzles I'm sharing to review W14 vocabulary while the class is taking the quiz tomorrow. In period 2, students who got sent home last Friday will have time to properly complete their RWN exercise and correct mistakes while those who have finished their RWN exercise will work on the word puzzles.

W14 vocabulary quiz includes: 

1. Spelling  (8 questions, 40%) 

2. Draw two pictures of two vocabulary words (10%) 

3. Choose words from a vocabulary bank to finish sentences.  Two words will not be used. 

(5 questions, 25%) 

e.g.    book   play    eat    run 

Jenny is reading a _book_. 

4. The present simple tense

 Circle and write the right verb on the line to complete sentences. (5 questions, 25%) 

e.g.  He _eats__ (eat/eats) noodles for dinner every day.
