W2 Unit Test Scope  

There are 50 questions in the test. Each answer is worth 2 points. 

A. Spelling: (10 questions)   

The words are from W1 and W2 vocabulary. 

B. Complete sentences with words from part A. (10 questions) 

e.g.   My father said he ________ buy me a gift for me birthday.   (would) 

Students should choose a word from part A and spell it correctly to finish the sentence.  

C. Phonics: long a sound (ay, -ai- , a_e)   (8 questions) 

There are 8 pictures and 8 words with missing letters. Students need to choose ay, -ai-, or a_e to complete the words. 

D. Adjectives  (8 questions)

Circle adjectives in the sentences and write them on the line. (3 questions)  

Choose an adjective to complete sentences. ( 5 questions) 

E. Possessive apostrophe ('s vs. s') ( 4 questions) 

 There are 4 questions. Students read a sentence and rewrite it with possessive apostrophe. 

e.g. Steve has a cat.   This is _Steve's_ cat. 

F. RS story reading comprehension  (10 questions) 

8 multiple choice questions and 1 essay question 

A2 students will have a review worksheet for homework on Wednesday. 

The unit quiz is on Thursday.
