Today. we had a mock speaking exam and practice -le words. Students will have their 2nd listening exam tomorrow morning.   Students should review W7-11 vocabulary.

1. Imperative sentences:  

Read the instructions carefully. Do not skip questions. 

Watch out for sentences that begin with 

Don't... 

Never...   

2. -ou-, -ow- sounds 

Make sure to say words out loud before you choose an answer.  

Toward doesn't have the -ou- sound. 

3. Write a complete sentence to answer questions. 

A sentence that has the conjunction Because can't stand alone. 

Because there was an angry dog.  (Incomplete) 

Hen asked the chicks to wait for chicken feed because there was an angry dog. (complete sentence)
