Today, we practiced bl-, cl-, pl- blends and long vowels (a_e, o_e, i_e, u_e) and used imperative sentences  and sequence words (first, then, next, last) to write directions.

Exams will be held on:

 

l  Listening Exam – Wednesday, November 16th, 2022

l  Oral Exam –   Thursday, November 17th, 2022

l  Written Exam – Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022

 

The exams may cover the following:  

 

LISTENING EXAM:

·       Vocabulary from communication Book (Weeks 7-11).

 

ORAL EXAM:  

Students will be evaluated on fluency, pronunciation, intonation, and clarity. They will be asked to read a new text that focuses on the vocabulary from W7-11. They will use a complete sentence to answer 5 questions based on the text. They can look at the text to find answers, but they won’t see the questions. 

 

WRITTEN EXAM:  

Vocabulary Comprehension:  Vocabulary words from weeks 7-11) 

 

Story comprehension (understanding of the story):

·       Henry and Mudge and Mrs. Hopper’s House (RS1.4 pages 192-227)

·       Tippy-Toe Chick Go! (RS1.5, pages 12-51)

 

Phonics:

Students may be asked to identify:

  • Suffixes –ly, -ful
  • Vowel Sound in moon: oo
  • Diphthongs ow, ou
  • Final Syllable -le 

Homework  

Wednesday

1. Write VW’s #     13       -     4     ,4x                                 

2. Make       4       sentences using a VW
