G2A2 Class Homework 6/7

Today, we practiced vocabulary with the long i sound and verbs in different tenses (past, present and now).   I went over the 3rd monthly exam scope in the lesson today. Students also got a copy of the exam scope on p. 38 of the communication book.  Please sign the exam scope by Friday this week and use it to help your child revise for the exams.

G2, 3rd Exam Scope, Spring 2023


Dear parents,

Exams will be held on:

Listening Exam –Tuesday, June 13th, 2023

 Oral Exam – Thursday, June 15th, 2023

  Written Exam –Tuesday, June 20th, 2023

The exams may cover the following: 

LISTENING EXAM:

Vocabulary from:

·         Dear Juno (Weeks 13-14)

·         Anansi Goes Fishing (Weeks 15-16)

·         Rosa and Blanca (Week 17)

·         Listening comprehension: an unknown text

ORAL EXAM:   

Students will be evaluated on fluency, pronunciation, intonation, and clarity. They will be asked to read a new text that focuses on the vocabulary from W13-17. They will use a complete sentence to answer 5 questions based on the text. They can look at the text to find answers, but they won’t see the questions.

WRITTEN EXAM: 

Vocabulary Comprehension:  Vocabulary words from weeks 14--17)

 Story comprehension (understanding of the story):

·         Anansi Goes Fishing 

Phonics:

Students may be asked to identify:

  • Long Vowels: ow, oa, igh, ie, y, i
